Obesity is a serious issue. If dieting, exercise etc. fails, then there is no shame in opting for bariatric surgery, lap band surgery, or whatever it is you associate weight loss surgery with. For many people, this is a psychological endeavor too because after a lot of hiding in the shadows, finally coming out for help may not be easy.
